Vision Aid Overseas aims to transform access to quality eyecare in developing countries. 670 million people worldwide are unnecessarily visually impaired because they do not have glasses.
Vision Aid Overseas is a UK based charity that channels resources to provide the neediest people in the world with a pair of glasses. For 25 years Vision Aid Overseas' volunteer Opticians have given their professional expertise, two weeks of leave, self funded their travel and accommodation, recycled used spectacles and built up the organisation scale and profile. Our challenge is to help our country partners multiply this scale many, many times to remove uncorrected vision from more of the 700,000,000 people who suffer from it.
